Literature Text

The dark void wavered and glistened,

Light made its mark and made its beauty,

A world took a form and a wind gently woke.

Passing a brook, who babbled so cheerfully,

The trees green leaves blew lightly through the wind.

A lake so clean stopped the wind,

And made it relax and see the lake’s wondrous beauty.

The wind faded to nothing and slept,

Finally it awoke to see its beautiful land.

The wind blew and tore through the trees,

Leaves flew about and light entered through the holes,

Calm and low the wind went then,

Soft and slow it finally stopped,

The wind softly danced through the leaves about the ground.

The mind of the wind curled and twirled about,

Confused about everything it passed.

Without one place to stop and rest,

Houses littered its beloved valley.

It was bitter with pain and anger,

Soft and slow the wind picked up,

Calm and low it roared faster,

Leaves flew about and the sky turned dark,

The wind blew and tore madly at the trees.

Sad and tired, it passed many towns.

Mad and tired, it passed a small forest,

Creeping back, it relaxed, but anger flew with a sight,

A man with black hair cutting down trees,

Rushing forward, breaking things in its path

Going onward from the horrid sight.

The wind slowed to see the lake,

Trying to unwind, only to see the worst,

The lake grew black form ruin,

Nothing could rake through its mind.

Crawling slowly to a stop,

With sadly no mind, with which to think.

With all its might turned and turned,

It turned from its wall form, to a spinning vortex of its anger.

Rushing to any town its sight lay upon was gone,

Destroying many of its favorite places in its rage.

Continuing its destruction of the ruined world,

Many fits of rage came upon the world.

Then all the elements came to fight for their old calm lives,

Wind’s call made a step to reclaim its true past.

Finally the worst came to the humans.

Fire burst through its cage and locks,

It burned everything in its path.

Quake turned the world upside down,

It broke the whole world apart.

Finally everything became as dark as someone’s face with a hooded cloak.

The void returned to its rightful time and place,

It never concerned itself with creating another world again.
